I’m back with my 50 States Wrapped series with the last set of 5 states. Today’s post will cover Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming! I will continue to add books from each state. If you missed the previous parts to this series, you can check my posts about Alabama-California, Colorado-Georgia, Hawaii-Iowa, Kansas-Maryland, Massachusetts-Missouri, Montana-New Jersey, New Mexico-Ohio, Oklahoma-South Carolina, and South Dakota-Vermont.
Virginia
I think the only times I’ve been in Virginia were while I was visiting D.C. I was there as a kid as and as an adult and visited Arlington Cemetery in Arlington, VA.
Books that take place in Virginia:
Washington
I visited Seattle in 2002 after Dave and I went on our Alaskan cruise. I would like to go back! On our Oregon trip this summer, we took the kids across the border to Washington so they could say they have been there too.
Books that take place in Washington:
West Virginia
We passed through (and stopped in) a town known as Wheeling, West Virginia on our move to Kansas.
Since then, we have also driven through West Virginia on a trip home from NJ, stopping at the West Virginia Botanic Garden in Morgantown, WV and at a random museum of glass in Weston, WV, and staying over in Huntington, WV.
We also visited breweries in WV.
Books that take place in West Virginia:
I don’t think I’ve read any!
Wisconsin
We visited Wisconsin for the first time when Gabbie went to sleepaway camp there and we visited her for visiting day. We stayed in Wisconsin Dells on the way to see her. The kids have been to Wisconsin and the Dells since then with their youth group.
We also visited Zachary when he was at camp there and visited Milwaukee.
Books that take place in Wisconsin:
Wyoming
Our first time in Wyoming was on our first road trip in 2010, when we stayed in Cheyenne. Our trip to Yellowstone brought us to Cody, Wyoming, and Yellowstone itself is mostly located in Wyoming! We also visited Grand Teton National Park on that trip.

I’m sad to say that this concludes my 50 States Wrapped series. I hope you enjoyed following along!
Have you been to any of these 5 states?
