I’m back with my 50 States Wrapped series and today’s post will cover Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and South Carolina! I will continue to add books from each state. If you missed the previous parts to this series, you can check my posts about Alabama-California, Colorado-Georgia, Hawaii-Iowa, Kansas-Maryland, Massachusetts-Missouri, Montana-New Jersey, and New Mexico-Ohio.
Oklahoma
Living in the midwest has allowed me to visit some of the states I probably wouldn’t have otherwise. We drove through Oklahoma in 2012 when we took a trip to Texas! I wrote about the visit here, but the pictures appear to be missing. We visited the zoo and the Oklahoma City Memorial.

Oregon
Oregon was my 50th state and we were just there in June!

Pennsylvania
Growing up in NJ, Pennsylvania was right next door! I probably didn’t spend much time in PA other than maybe a class trip to Philadelphia, but I did go with my family to a bat mitzvah in Pittsburgh at one point. On one of our trips to NJ, we flew to Philadelphia and took the kids to the Liberty Bell.
Most recently, we were in Philadelphia last year when Gabbie visited Temple University. We visited the Franklin Institute and the Jewish Museum.
Books that take place in Pennsylvania:
Rhode Island
While I believe I did take a school trip to somewhere in Rhode Island, the first time I truly remember being there was in 2004, when I was nauseous and pregnant with Gabbie and Dave and I visited Newport. I don’t have the pictures from that trip! I returned to RI in 2016 with a friend, taking a weekend trip to Block Island.
Books that take place in Rhode Island:
South Carolina
In 2016, Dave had a work conference in Georgia and the kids and I took a little trip to South Carolina to check it off our list. We visited the zoo in Columbia, and the town of Rock Hill.
