Simon Learns About Safety

This week Simon’s class learned about safety. When I brought Simon into class on Tuesday, the first thing he did was pop on a fire hat and climb into this fire truck tent! Looks like he stayed there awhile, because his teacher wasn’t taking photos while I was still in the room!

They learned about traffic lights. This is their traffic light snack – Simon already ate the red strawberry!

Next they played Red Light, Green Light. How adorable are these kids?!

Simon is in the orange shirt – see him cracking up laughing?

The kids who go to school on Wednesdays and Thursdays got to make adorable firetrucks out of egg cartons, but since Simon was only there Tuesday and Friday, he just made this:

Today I’m headed to the gym and have a 10 minute run on my schedule – which means if I can do it, I’ll be pulling off the 10 minute mile that’s been my goal for quite some time. I’m really nervous though. Especially since the plan also has an 8 minute run first, then a 2 minute walk, then the 10 minute run! Yes, running at a 6.2 on the treadmill is still very hard for me!

How cute!! Love the pop up fire truck tent!
Reagan loves telling us what color the lights are when we stop at a light in the car...
