Happy Wednesday everyone! Today I’m joining in for Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce.
1. What motivates you to work hard?
I have a hard time getting started sometimes, but I am motivated to get things done once I get started and realize it feels good to complete things!
2. It’s been said “Ignorance is bliss”…is it?
It can be, but sometimes ignorance is a privilege that not everyone has and I prefer knowing the information that matters.
3.Would you rather be stuck on a broken elevator or a broken ski lift? Explain. Have you ever actually been stuck on either? Of the common fears listed here what’s your #1- heights-enclosed spaces-snakes-public speaking-the dark-flying
Hmm. I guess the question is which do I prefer – heights or small spaces? I can see the benefits of both – on a ski lift I’d at least be in the fresh air, but in an elevator I’d be less likely to keep looking down. I think I’d actually prefer the ski lift because you can see what’s going on around you. I’ve been stuck in an elevator once but not for too long. Of those fears listed, I think my least favorite is public speaking, though I wouldn’t say it’s a fear, it’s just a strong dislike!
4. What’s something you like about the town or city where you live?
I like that it’s a suburb and I have access to most everything easily. We live at most 20 minutes from most places in our city, besides the airport which is 40 minutes!
5. Life is too short to_________________________________.
force myself to continue reading books I’m not into.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
In one week, the boys will be back at school. Both are supposed to read a book and write a paper – which isn’t technically due for another week after that. But Simon’s bar mitzvah is the weekend just before they are due and they are not going to have time to finish then! I think I’m giving up and if they fail their first assignments of the year, then so be it.
This week I have a full week of my new side job – dog walking. My friend is pregnant and she asked me to cover for her until she has the baby and feels up to walking them again, so for now, I get to hang out with 5 cute dogs (not every day for each and only two at a time at most, for half an hour each) and get paid for it. Meanwhile, I have to tackle my to do list for the bar mitzvah!
Tell me your answer to any of these!
