While we were in NJ, we celebrated Dave’s parents / the kids’ grandparents’ 80th birthdays. My father-in-law turned 80 in January and my mother-in-law in June, so we combined their party into one. It was really nice because we were able to have almost all their grandchildren (including spouses, 4 weren’t there) and great-grandchildren (2 weren’t there) at the party. There was a photographer and I thought I’d share her family pictures here, but I haven’t been able to access them (and according to Gabbie, mine are much better anyway…) but because of that there aren’t pictures of me here!
Your first hint that this was like a wedding was the hair and makeup being done beforehand! These are my great-nieces (and Gabbie) getting fancy. I let her do my makeup too.
At the party:
Some of the decor
Zachary trying to get involved with the tech – with my nephew.
My nephew’s daughter – they live in Israel and this was the first time we met her! She was a lot of fun. She only spoke to us in Hebrew, although she understood English, and she loved Simon!
Two of my sweet great-nieces with their moms
Trying to get a picture with all of the great-grandchildren:
And there are all the grandchildren!
This is my niece’s husband pretending to sing…with my nephew and great-nephew.
Some of the desserts
Dave’s sister made a speech
So did Simon! He did great.
Two of my nephews doing a musical performance
More dessert
Dancing for the bride and groom – I mean birthday celebrants!
My father-in-law spoke
My nephew spoke
My other nephew made up a song.
Gabbie took this picture of the centerpiece while I was in the bathroom.

A reprise of my nephew’s song:

More cuties:
It’s too bad I don’t have any of the pictures I was in, but I guess you get the idea!
