Welcome to the Not Just a Mom Link Up hosted by myself, Adrienne, Jen, Joanne, Lauren, and Sarah! This month, we are talking about our dream travel locations. I have definitely posted about this before, so this will be another recap / update post on all of my dream travel locations!
Way back in June 2013, I wrote about the places I’d love to visit. At the time, I had 13 more states to visit. I’m happy to report that since then I’ve visited 12 of those states! So Oregon remains my first dream travel location because once I go there I’ll have finished visiting all 50 states.
The other places that I wanted to visit as per that post:
Bora Bora, Galapagos, Ireland, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Midway Island, Belize, Kenya, and Greece. I can say that Bora Bora and Galapagos still remain on my wishlist! I haven’t thought about Ireland or anywhere in Asia in awhile, and I don’t want to go to Australia because I’m wary of the long plane ride! (I know Bora Bora is quite far as well!) I did talk about wanting to go to Greece recently, so I guess that remains on my list.
Another post that I wrote was called All The Places We Haven’t Been. In this post I cited this list of 40 must-see places to take your kids before they grow up and talked about the ones we had already visited as well as the ones we hadn’t. Places we hadn’t been yet with the kids but have now been to include The Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, and Millennial Park in Chicago.
New Orleans was also on the list and I have now been there, although not with the kids. Places in that post that I would still like to go to are:
Galapagos (again), Redwood National Park, London, Hawaii with the kids, and Yosemite.
In this post, I mentioned that I wanted to visit all 50 states, the Redwood Forest, and the place where you can stand in 4 states at once – happy to say I’ve done that one now!
You know what location I often mention that I want to visit that wasn’t in my previous posts? Iceland.
You can link up your posts about your dream travel locations here, and come back next month when we’re sharing our family food traditions!
Overall, I have some fancy dream travel locations that I may never get to visit, and some that are more in reach. How about you?
