What I’ve Been Reading #65 Featuring My Sister’s Grave

I received this book from TLC Book Tours in exchange for my review.

The last few books I’ve received from TLC Book Tours have been mysteries! My Sister’s Grave by Robert Dugoni is about a homicide detective who reminded me a bit of Beckett from Castle.

“Tracy Crosswhite has spent twenty years questioning the facts surrounding her sister Sarah’s disappearance and the murder trial that followed. She doesn’t believe that Edmund House—a convicted rapist and the man condemned for Sarah’s murder—is the guilty party. Motivated by the opportunity to obtain real justice, Tracy became a homicide detective with the Seattle PD and dedicated her life to tracking down killers. When Sarah’s remains are finally discovered near their hometown in the northern Cascade mountains of Washington State, Tracy is determined to get the answers she’s been seeking. As she searches for the real killer, she unearths dark, long-kept secrets that will forever change her relationship to her past—and open the door to deadly danger.”

Tracy has been left alone to uncover the mystery behind her sister’s death. Both her parents passed away and she isn’t truly in touch with any of her old friends. When her sister’s body is uncovered, she returns to town to solve the mystery once and for all. She becomes close with a friend of from high school and the two work together to find out what happened to her sister. The problem is that she isn’t sure who she can trust. I thought I had the answer to the mystery, only to find out I was very wrong. The reveal was surprising, but made sense, both to myself and to Tracy, in the end.

Sounds like a pretty good mystery and have had the kids home sick for a few days now, so haven't had time to read much this week sadly myself.

Interesting! I'm reading Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. It's a creepy mystery. I recommend it!
