Flashback Feature #36–2 Places I’ve Traveled

Life. Love.Lauren

As you know, I love to travel. I’ve been busy telling you all about our recent trip to Disney World and in April I posted about our trip to Israel in 2011. I thought for this post I should write about two places I haven’t written about before, which is hard because I like to write about my travels, plus there are a lot to narrow down to share!

Being that this post contains pictures from the past, I’m also counting it as today’s Flashback Feature.

First up – Alaska. Dave and I took an Alaskan in 2002, after I’d graduated grad school and before I started working. We flew to Anchorage and took a train to meet the cruise ship, which traveled south in Alaska’s Inside Passage, concluding in Vancouver, Canada. From there, we drove to Seattle and flew home from there. Here are some of the pictures!

Does this even look like me?

The Yukon – so pretty.

Next I want to share a weekend trip to Cape May, NJ. I’m not even sure when it was, maybe it was also 2002, maybe it was 2003. I know for a fact it was February, and it was freezing. But it was fun!

Coincidentally, on both of these trips I remember being sick with colds, and both were cold! Well, Alaska in May isn’t quite so bad. Have you been to either of these places? Tell me about it!

I went to Cape May as a child, but it was summertime. Coincidentally, I told Kevin recently we should take the girls there, because Wildwood is a hop, skip and a jump away and think they would love both places. Thanks for sharing and truly brought me back!! :)

Alaska is so beautiful! It's like a post card! I would love to go someday.

I also love travelling and I did exactly what you did - I had to dig deep to figure out what trips I hadn't talked about yet!

It's fun going over the old photos, though.

Visiting from Tuesday Topics!

I love Cape May! We did Cape May and AC one weekend when we lived in Philly. I love all the Victorian architecture...reminds me of Mackinac Island.

We're thinking about taking an Alaskan cruise for our five year anniversary next year. Maybe I can use your photos to talk my husband into it... :-)

Hopefully I will be taking a trip to Alaska next June!

I've heard those Alaskan trips were really fabulous. I've never traveled to either of those places, but I'm immediately drawn to the scenic mountain views. Gorgeous!
