Welcome to the Not Just a Mom Link Up hosted by myself, Adrienne, Jen, Joanne, Lauren, and Sarah! This month, we are talking about our hobbies. I think you all already know that my main hobby is reading! (and funny story – I recently said “my main hobby is reading” and my friend thought I said “my clean hobby is reading.”) Since mostly all I do is read, here’s a look back at some of the hobbies I’ve had in the past.
1. The earliest hobby I remember having is that I liked writing little stories. I’d illustrate them and staple the pages together like a book. I wish I still had some of them to share!
2. In the summers I went to camp and there I got into making lanyards. I would always be going to the art room for more to use!
3. At some point I got into friendship bracelets too. I used to make a ton every summer and give them to people at camp.
4. I used to like playing in the pool. It wasn’t really swimming because I’ve never been a good swimmer, but just hanging out in the pool was fun.
5. I also used to play tennis. I was never great at it, but I liked it enough to join the team in high school, which I did for the first two years.
6. I’ve always been into taking pictures and photography has been a hobby for me for awhile now – this is one I still do along with reading! I used to scrapbook with my photos as well, but now I just share them here.
7. Another current hobby I have is knitting. I like to have something to do with my hands so I usually have a project going at all times.
8. I enjoy hiking. I don’t do it much anymore besides when traveling, but I’d say it’s still a hobby for me.
9. I just realized that blogging is a hobby. I have kept up with this blog for longer than most of the blog friends I used to follow – where do they all go?
10. More hobbies that kind of count – petting dogs, doing puzzles, playing games on my phone, hanging out with my family!
If you wrote about your hobbies, you can link up below and come back next month when we’re talking about our money saving tips.
