The first Wednesday of the month is the Currently link up and I’m once again linking up with Jennifer. (a day late). This month’s prompt words are loving, doing, trying, seeing, and reading.
[loving]
I am once again using the “loving” prompt to list some of the things that brought me joy over the past month!
– All of Gabbie’s dance shows
– Zachary’s play
– Working out a way for Gabbie to go to her last day of school and her youth group weekend
– Gabbie’s graduation
– Gabbie getting to go to see Taylor Swift
– Starting to clean out my laundry room and Simon’s room
– Celebrating Shavuot with friends
– Celebrating Dave’s birthday
– Ice cream
[doing]
Like I mentioned above, I have started cleaning and decluttering the house. I started with the smallest room and it has taken much longer than I expected! I have been giving things away on a local group and while it’s gratifying to share with others, it can be frustrating when people don’t reply to comments and messages and don’t pick up the things they said they wanted. I have packed up three garbage bags so far but I feel badly throwing away things that have more life in them!
I am also still keeping busy with lots and lots of appointments. We’ve had the dentist, the eye doctor, a wisdom teeth removal consultation, haircuts, a big evaluation for Simon, and more. Coming up we have the results of the evaluation, TSA pre-check appointments for me and Gabbie (we tried to do walk ins and it didn’t go very well), a physical, the orthodontist, that wisdom teeth removal – for Gabbie – and more.
[trying]
This week we have been trying to make it through with only two cars – Gabbie is working and needs hers and mine is being fixed. It told me months ago that it had engine problems and the transmission was dying. We hoped it wouldn’t die soon, but it finally did two weeks ago. I was with the boys and we made it back home with a bit of luck! I had short hopes of a new car but ultimately we decided to fix it.
[seeing]
Last week, the kids and I went to see the new Little Mermaid movie. I was reminded of when they were little and we always caught the new Disney releases each summer – it was so nice that they all wanted to come and to share it with them! The Little Mermaid is a movie of my childhood!
[reading]
I’m actually reading two middle grade books at the moment (one on audio) and have a book tour for one of them tomorrow, so a review will follow. You know you can always find lots of book reviews here!
Now tell me something you are currently doing!
