When I last left off in sharing Gabbie’s trip photos, she had visited the Coliseum and Pompeii and had one more day in Rome. That day they walked around the city, saw Vatican City, the Arch of Titus, etc.
That night, they flew to Israel. I was so excited when she landed there!
They did a quick stop in Jerusalem (not on the way but important!) and then headed to the north of Israel where they stayed in Tiberias.
Lunch stop on the way up north.
This was the view from her hotel room.
On Sunday morning, they did a hike. Hiking is one of the best ways to see Israel and people there love it!
They visited the city of Tzfat.
The next day, they did another hike, this time one that went through the water. Gabbie was also excited that she ran into some friends in a different group while they were there.
Next, they visited the Golan.
The next morning, some of them got up early to see the sunrise over the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee).
And later that day, they saw the Mediterranean Sea!
Week 3 seemed a little quieter. They were in Tel Aviv and Netanya and many of the pictures Gabbie sent were of friends and food!
They had a big gathering for all the kids that are in Israel this summer with NCSY, which seemed like fun.
They went biking on the beach in Tel Aviv.
And checked out the market in Jaffa.
That week finished up with a free weekend, and Gabbie visited Dave’s sister, who came back from NJ just in time to host Gabbie for the weekend!
This week, they are checking out the south of Israel, so next time I will share her photos from there!
