Today I have a special guest blogger here to tell you all about her trip to St. Louis with her brothers and Daddy. She even took (most of) the pictures! Please welcome Gabbie! (Some of the pictures are taken by Dave).
Hi I`m Gabbie and I am going to tell you about Daddy Camp. In Daddy Camp this year, we went to St. Louis and the reason we went was because my mommy needed a little break. (Mommy’s note: also because Daddy needed to take one more day off this year and this is what he wanted to do!) On Sunday morning (December 29) we ate breakfast and left. We watched McKenna Shoots For The Stars and a video about Disney Cruises. After we got there we had lunch at Kohn’s Kosher Deli.
After that, we went to the Budweiser Factory. You get to see the horses, where they store the alcohol, how they make beer, and how they bottle the beer. After that you get to sample beer and if you don’t like beer there’s soda and pretzels.
After that we went to the hotel. The Gateway Arch kind of glows and we had a window to the arch.
According to Dave, Zachary said “this is the best hotel room ever.”
And then we went up the Arch.
We rode the train to dinner and across the Mississippi River to Illinois and back. In the morning, we saw the sunrise and it was right under the arch.
We went up the arch again.
Then went to the St. Louis Science Center, got ice cream, and got lunch at Kohn’s Kosher Deli again. Then we went home.
From Dave: “This is how much it would cost to send our kids to space. Good thing we just bought a light umbrella stroller.”
Mommy says she wishes the kids could go to Daddy Camp more often, but she was very thankful for this two day, one night break!
