What Do I Do Part 2

The Pearl & The Pilot

This link up is all about the life of a stay-at-home-mom. My life is pretty boring, but here are this week’s answers!

What things do you do outside of your home? Ex: volunteering, exercise, etc.

I go to the gym when I can. I attend a class on Mondays but unfortunately my gym isn’t offering classes on the other evenings (well, there is Zumba but I can’t bring myself to try it!). I have been meeting with two friends once per week to learn different topics in Judaism – it is part of a grant through the school. I go to my synagogue on Saturdays and I also am on the youth committee for the synagogue. Other than that, I drive a lot of carpool.

What do you do for you?

I get dressed and put on make up. I blog. I read and watch TV and knit.

How do you keep your relationship going after kids?

We support each other and do what we can for each other. We try to go out sometimes or just take time alone together sometimes. I was just saying to Dave the other day that I feel like our kids give our lives meaning. So our relationship just IS and without the kids it would be something else entirely.

What kind of groups are you involved in, if any?

I’m not in any moms’ groups anymore. I was active in the MOMS Club in NJ and I joined one through Meetup.com when I first moved here, but now I’m not involved anymore. The only real group I’m in right now is the Cub Scouts! Zachary got his Bobcat Badge Thursday night, and I got a little badge saying that I’m a proud Cub Scout mama!

If you aren’t already linking up and answering these questions, I’d love to hear what you do too!

I feel the exact same way about my girls. And seriously as crazy as things get around here would be lost without them, too.

I am just so uncoordinated!

So are half the people there :-) It's great exercise and you burn a crazy amount of calories doing it. I haven't been since before C was born and need to get back into it.

I'm glad I'm not the only who hasn't tried Zumba. I have no rhythm and I hate the enough as it is without embarrassing myself, too. :)

Scouts is still pretty cool!!

I haven't tried zumba. I wanted to, at one point, and then decided nah, I like kickboxing better ;)

I love this! There is so much more to being a SAHM than sometimes people realize.

You should SO try Zumba. I felt ridiculous the first time I did it, but it's actually pretty fun, and a great workout. I think everyone feels kind of self conscious about it.

What a fun link up! Sorry I've been MIA from your blog for a while. I blog for me, too. And it's hard to keep up an intimate relationship with the hubby after kids. We do try by going out alone at least once a month, but it's still a struggle. I'm not a part of any mom's groups really, except on Facebook, but I take Sofia to music class and have gotten to know the moms there. It's nice.

I would like kickboxing better I'm sure. But my gym isn't offering it!

I'm sure I'd feel stupid, plus I can't say I like that type of music...
