October Goals

It’s time for my monthly goal sharing post! First, a look back at last month:

septgoals

  1. Start the Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans free online bootcamp program.

  2. Prepare for and enjoy the fall holidays.

  3. Complete Project Life pages for May and June.

  4. Finish preparing for the consignment sale (and make at least $100).

  5. Come up with a plan for cleaning the house.

  6. Get organized with my new Life Planner.

  7. Continue sharing more meaningful and useful content on the blog.

  8. Participate in Skirtember.

  9. Buy a pair of boots for fall.

  10. Complete at least one thing from my 35 Things list.

  1. I completed the first week and started week 2. I disregarded the fact that I was not going to have much time at the gym in September due to all the holidays, and now in October I’ll have even less gym time due to a lack of childcare.
  2. Done.
  3. May is done. June is not.
  4. Done. I made $150.
  5. Not done. I kind of changed my mind about this.
  6. In progress!
  7. Done.
  8. Done.
  9. Done.
  10. I think I completed one thing but a few others are in progress. Hopefully I will blog about them soon.

octgoals

  1. Get through the next few weeks without getting totally overwhelmed.
  2. Keep working on June Project Life Pages.
  3. Complete the 31 Days Series I began on Oct. 1.
  4. Go to the pumpkin patch.
  5. Start decluttering drawers, bathroom, books, etc.
  6. Complete and blog #7 on my list.
  7. Complete and blog #11 on my list.
  8. Complete and blog #27 on my list.
  9. Complete and blog #33 on my list.
  10. Complete and blog #35 on my list.

The year starting and ending with my birthday is almost up, so I need to work on finishing the things on my list that are able to be accomplished by my birthday, hence the last 5 goals above all being directly off of the list! If I do the 5 I picked out above, some of which are already in progress, plus blog about those that are done and I have not blogged about, I will have accomplished a pretty good amount of the things on my list!

Do you have monthly or yearly goals?

Oh by the way, today is officially my “blogiversary.” I started this blog with this lovely post exactly 3 years ago today.

I don't really write my goals down, but do have a vague idea of what I want to accomplish for the month, but love how you not only list them, but make sure you have checked them off. You did great by the way last month!! :)

I think I need to do this. I have daily and weekly goals for sure. I always focus on the yearly ones, but I think there's a sense of accomplishment with the monthly ones that must be very rewarding.

it's definitely helpful when I remember the goals I make!

WOW! I love reading over your lists! I could almost copy and paste it to my life. Looks like we're going through a lot of the same stuff. Hope you have an amazing October can't wait to see how far you go!

Congratulations on hitting 3 years! I really need to update my goal list although I know I haven't done much. Ao many things have changed since I wrote it, including a new baby and cross country move. Everything is on hold.

thanks. I don't know if I'll update my list for next year or just accept that I didn't finish it all!

Damm 3 years of blogging is HUGE! I always love reading your goal recaps. Are you going to do a review of your life planner? I want one so bad but I tend to use planners for a month and than I'm over them so not sure i can justify the price

I don't really think of it as 3 years because I took a big break and started again last summer! so it's more like 1 year. :) I don't know if I'll review the planner - maybe!
