It’s Okay #6

Nugget On A Budget

It’s okay…

…to enjoy the silence when the kids go to school.

…to love the feel of yarn sliding off of my knitting needles.

…to have really loved the kiss between Emma and Hook on Once Upon A Time.

…to like sparkly eyeshadows better than matte versions.

…that after I mentioned the annoyance of the carpool lines last week, I accidentally did one of the things I don’t like when others do! I cut someone off in line because I thought she’d already put her son in the car! Ooops!

…that Zachary’s teacher is concerned about his fine motor skills when it comes to writing. It’s better to get it taken care of now than later.

…that my birthday plans so far consist of 4 hours of Cub Scouts and 2 hours of mother-son bowling with Zachary.

…that I have a lot of review posts coming up. Speaking of which, Simon loves GoGo Squeez Applesauce pouches! I was lucky enough to receive free products to sample from Smiley360 and it would be great if you could click on that link for me!

…to remind you to enter to win some Rockin Refuel Milks right here!

…to post this announcement: K5 Learning has an online reading and math program for kindergarten to grade 5 students.  I've been given a 6 week free trial to test and write a review of their program.  If you are a blogger, you may want to check out their  open invitation to write an online learning review of their program. - See more at: http://www.k5learning.com/review-k5#sthash.v0cSr6e6.dpuf.

…to link up with Kera and Amber!

…and to introduce you to Breanna today!

Breanna is a fun, country music loving girl who is looking for a job in nursing. She loves to go to concerts and has been to way more than I have!

This month I asked my sponsors 3 travel related questions. Breanna says:

If you could travel anywhere, where would you go? Hard choice! I would love to visit Greece, Turkey, London, Paris, Germany. Really anywhere out of the country, as I've never been.

Where have you previously traveled that you loved and would return to? Nashville, hands down! Talk about a city that was made for me. I highly, highly recommend that if you haven’t visited to go. It's not just a “country music city”. There’s a ton of amazing shops, restaurants, and things to see.

Do you have any upcoming travel plans? With all the interviewing and job searching I've been doing lately, I feel like I'm always in the car traveling to cities around the area I live in.

Go visit Breanna and tell her I sent you! And don’t forget to enter the giveaway I am hosting this month!

I also do have a good amount of reviews coming up in the next two weeks now, too. And we just started using K-5 Learning this past weekend. Emma is already hooked. I have to still try to sit with Lily to see how she likes it. Excited to be able to review and use it with my girls.

I'm with tamarsb: Spoiler!!! Okay, not a big one, I saw the 'next week on OUAT', but my DVR is holding this week's episode just waiting for me to find some kid free time this week.

Thanks SO much for the smiley360 link. I joined and love the looks of it :)

Spoiler! My own bad for not being up to date with Once Upon a Time. I'm two weeks behind. Hook..I like him. A heck of a lot more than Peter Pan! Do you watch the Wonderland spinoff too?

At least the teacher is noticing it now instead of ignoring it!! That's a good teacher right there.

We just caught up to the current season of Once Upon a Time on Netflix. I want to know who is in the other crate! Who knew Peter Pan would be the bad guy.

We love the GoGo Applesauce pouches. But, truth be told, I buy whichever brand is cheapest with the coupons I have, haha! She always insists on holding the lid.

Dara said...

I'm sorry! I didn't realize - but like you said it was on the coming previews! you've gotta watch it! and I'm glad you joined smiley!

Dara said...

I'm sorry! I didn't think about people being behind. I like Hook too. :) and yes I do watch the spinoff, which I'm not entirely sure I like. how about you.

Dara said...

I agree!

Dara said...

I thought the crates held Neil and Rumple, but I hear that's not the case? I'm not sure why it isn't. I'm also not remembering Neil being captured, but I guess it happened!

Dara said...

we've actually never tried the other brands! what I don't like is how fast simon slurps it up and then is ready for something else!

Tamara Bowman said...

Oh, I was just kidding! I think that's inevitable anyway - them kissing. Although I wish she'd know that Neil is alive.
Wonderland. I've only seen two episodes so I'm a little unsure. I do keep coming back, though! I do have a theory about the Knave of Hearts and his mysterious heartbreak but since I'm behind on that too, it may have already been admitted!

Dara said...

not sure what your theory is, but I think they just revealed the heartbreak last week! and it'll be more about it this week maybe! yeah it will be good for emma to know about neal. she may find out soon...

Tamara Bowman said...

Neal! I knew I spelled his name wrong. Ok, so I haven't seen the episode yet but I'll watch it tonight, I think. It's gotta be the Queen of Hearts. And maybe she's not pure evil, or wasn't always.

Dara said...

oh haha, I don't know how to spell his name! could be either!

Amber said...

Oh yes, I so love my silence!

Dara said...

me too. for sure!

Silence is golden :)

Violet loves the go go applesauce too. I like them except for the berry one because she stained my carpet with it. Ugh.

Dara said...

I just love being at home when no one else is here! :) we've never tried the berry applesauce! we've just done the apple apple and I think one other type but I forget which, oops.

Sara said...

Ooo I haven't tried that brand of applesauce but Colin does like applesauce in the pouch.

I'm testing the K5 Learning program but am only 2 weeks in. I am all about helping Collin as much as I can with learning.

Did they say if Zachary needed OT? Collin gas been doing OT since July and I haven't noticed a huge difference but I have been making more of an effort to work on coloring/writing each day and see an improvement.

Dara said...

I think Colin would like it if he likes pouch applesauces! even though Zachary and Collin are so alike, Zachary doesn't eat applesauce, lol! The OT eval hasn't happened yet, but I'll be sure to update when it does. he was evaluated in the past and was determined on track, but I guess this is going to be a more focused OT only eval as opposed to an entering kindergarten eval. sigh.
we started the k5 program yesterday...we liked some parts and not others!

Sara said...

Collin only recently started eating the pouch applesauce. Food therapy is slow going but he has started to eat some more foods including applesauce woohoo.

Fingers crossed the OT evaluation goes well.

Sofia LOVES the GoGo Squeez applesauce packs ~ I swear I need to buy them in bulk because she goes through them so fast. I want free packs lol! I clicked on that link and signed up for Smiley360 too. And I had to post that "preview" paragraph too for the K5 Learning review. I have a ton of reviews and guest posts coming up on the blog too. I just can't say no...especially if it involves money or a free product I want to try out :) Thanks for linking up to It's Okay Dara!

Dara said...

yup Simon finishes them super fast! I have a lot of reviews coming up and I too love getting free stuff! but I have to stop getting stressed about my reviews, they aren't that hard to write, lol!

Kera @ Nugget On A Budget said...

Lol I'm the same way though with the reviews. I have one on Tuesday that is paying a decent amount and I'm stressing about it because I need the money! I'm sure they will pay it though anyway, as long as the post includes everything they ask for. At first I didn't want to do a lot of reviews, but I'm getting some better ones now that are worth it. But you're right ~ they aren't that hard to write! I need to keep telling myself that.
