Famous Family Members #31Days

Do you have any famous family members? What are they famous for? If no one in your family is famous, has anyone ever met anyone famous? If none of the above make sense for your family, think about what your family members are famous for within your family. For example, my nephew is known as the computer and phone expert!

I myself happen to have a semi-famous family member – my brother, who is a meteorologist on the Weather Channel!

Feel free to tell me about your famous family members in the comments or by leaving a link to your post!

Behind on the series? Catch up here!

I remember you posting about your brother a few months back and still think that is awesome that he works for the Weather Channel. No famous people in my family, but as a kid we met Ray Liotta and Robert Deniro when they taped part of Goodfellas around the corner from where I grew up. I will always remember being allowed to hang out behind the barricade for hours waiting to catch a glimpse and then get an autograph. I thought it was so cool at that age!! :)

I have met Shelley Long and Levar Burton. Shelley Long and Levar's wife went to my high school and they came back for the 75th anniversary of my school when I was a freshman.

No famous people in my family! I did get to see many of the players on the 2008-2009 Manchester United soccer team when I lived over in England and worked for them. And my cousin's son was just signed to the Toronto Blue Jays a few weeks ago so maybe he'll be famous one day!

No famous family members. I do have family members that came over in the mayflower though which I think is cool. They got married after they came to America. I've met corky from Life Goes On, did you ever watch that show?

Dara said...

That is awesome! My sister is famous, kinda, in northern NJ since she's a rock DJ. She has signed autographs after being recognized in person. I always find that hilarious. Other than that, a lot of my family members are writers/authors for the New York Times. Oh! My husband's cousin is Ed Sorel. You can Google him. He's a very famous illustrator. You'd definitely recognize his work.
And my kids are famous on Facebook!

My super great (I don't know how many generations) uncle is Eli Whitney. That's about all I've got.
Oh! My great uncle is Boyd Rayburn, a semi-famous jazz musician who played with Dizzy Gillespie. My grandma's maiden name is Raben (changed from Rabin during WWII) but the ad people or whomever misheard it so his public name became Rayburn.

My dad's first cousin founded the Hard Rock Cafe! And his son, making him my second cousin, once dated Lindsey Lohan. Of course, I think I've only met them once or twice in my life. But isn't that whole point of having famous relatives just to say you're related to them? :)
