I used to have a notebook, followed by a web site, where I wrote down my quote collection. I wish I hadn’t accessed my collection before writing this post, because that means I have to narrow down 100s of my favorite quotes to just 3! Well, here are some that were meaningful to me then and still are now.

“When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible.” Harry in When Harry Met Sally. This has always been one of my favorite movies and I always quote this line whenever talking about the movie, on New Year’s Eve, or if I just feel like saying it!

“Take my hand, and lead me to salvation. Take my love, for love is everlasting. And remember, the truth that once was spoken. ‘To love another person is to see the face of G-d.’” – Les Miserables. I have loved Les Miserables since I was 12 years old and renewed my love for it this past winter when the new movie came out!

“In a place where there are no individuals, try to be an individual.” – Pirke Avot 2:5. This was my quote in my senior yearbook. I still feel that this is so important to remember! No one has yet made a graphic for this quote and that is to be expected, as it is really my own interpretation of the Hebrew verse, which is normally translated as “In a place where there are no men, strive to be a man.”
