Today I’m linking up with That Artsy Reader’s Top Ten Tuesday topic New-to-Me Authors I Discovered in 2022. I had participated in this topic back in early 2021, but I didn’t do so last year. While I like to read books from authors I already know I like, I did read and love some debuts as well as some just new to me authors. As always, Amazon links are affiliate links and if you use them and make a purchase, I may receive a small commission.
1. Ivy Owens: Technically I’ve read books by her before but only as part of the duo Christina Lauren. I loved Scandalized and I would definitely read more books by Ivy Owens (Lauren’s pen name writing on her own)!
2. Elissa Sussman: I read two books by her this year – Drawn That Way which was YA and Funny You Should Ask which was adult – and I loved them both. I can’t wait to read her new one that comes out this year.
3. Julia Whelan: While I’ve listened to many audio books that she narrated, I had not previously read a book by Julia Whelan. Thank You For Listening was a top read of the year for me.
4. Shelby Van Pelt: Since Remarkably Bright Creatures was my favorite book this year, it’s obvious I would read more from this debut author.
5. Gabrielle Zevin: She gained much attention this year for her book Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, which I thought was very unique, but I also read The Storied Life of AJ Fikry this year and loved it!
6. Hannah Reynolds: I read and loved Eight Nights of Flirting this year but I have her previous book The Summer of Lost Letters on my Net Galley account and really want to read that one as well!
7. Sarah Grunder Ruiz: I read two books from this author in 2022 and loved them both! I would definitely pick up more books by her in the future – and she has a new one coming this year!
8. Carley Fortune: Her debut Every Summer After was a top romance pick this year and I can’t wait for her next release.
9. Ali Brady: A debut from a duo writing together, The Beach Trap was a great read and I’m excited for their new one coming out this year.
10. Frieda McFadden: I was surprised by how much I loved The Housemaid and I would love to read more thrillers fro this author!
Have you read any of these authors?
