Spring break here was cold. And we picked the coldest day of the week to visit the zoo. We knew it was going to be cold but decided to go anyway because of the plans we had on the other days of break. Plus, there are multiple indoor areas at the zoo that we planned to explore. First we stopped by the otter!
And then visited the polar bear.
Simon wanted a photo on the elephant statue since he remembered taking photos there before.
And then it was time to see the penguins!
There was a sign about a baby penguin and this is him – he’s huge!
I was trying to take some photos of the penguins moving.
After a quick stop at the sea lion show, we visited the rainforest building.
The monkeys in here can be pretty entertaining!
Next we went to the Discovery Barn, which has some places to play as well as some cute little animals to see.
We did walk outside for a short time and Simon and this goat seems to like each other!
Finally, we caught the bird show before we left!
Next time, hopefully we’ll get to the zoo on a warmer day and be able to see more outdoor animals!
