A few weeks ago, Gabbie had her 11th birthday party. She actually had it after the last day of school, so it was also a good time for the girls to celebrate their graduation from 5th grade! We ended up having 8 kids over for the party. Two didn’t sleep over, so by the morning there were a few less!
The party was flamingo themed and Gabbie and I got most of our ideas on pinterest! We were very happy with how everything turned out.
I made these awesome flamingo straw decorations and taped them to straws from Target.
We set up an ice cream sundae bar. The bowls are from Target, the napkins are from Party City, and the labels for the toppings are from Chicfetti Parties.
I made these pink marshmallow flamingos by following the directions here. I made the stand from a foam circle and flamingo duck tape from Michaels.
For an activity, I taught everyone how to paint flamingos! I used this as my example. It was really neat to see everyone’s paintings because they were all creative and different.
After the paint project, we had our ice cream sundaes, and my camera stopped working so I didn’t take a million photos of the kids eating! Then the girls went to the basement where they played about a million rounds of “mafia,” Zachary through a major fit that he couldn’t go with them, and eventually everyone went to sleep!
In the morning, everyone was greeted by these cute cereal arrangements made by Gabbie!
What do you think of our flamingo themed party?
