It’s time for my monthly goal sharing post! First, a look back at last month:
- Wean Simon. Yes he is 2.5 and still nursing. Or not – I stopped nursing him on April 3 and today is day 5 cold turkey no nursing and it’s going great! He’s asked for it a few times but he really has adjusted amazingly so far!
- Eat healthier meals. This one is also in progress already and I’ve been working on cutting down on sugar and white flour and filling up on veggies and protein. I need to figure out some more easy to prepare protein sources though!
- Finish planning Gabbie’s party and hold her party on the 14th.
- Do Project Life pages for February.
- Get everything ready for my parents’ visit and my surgery.
- Make it through the few weeks after the surgery.
- Finish getting my Mom a Minute series ready to go live. Any mom readers want to join in? I’m featuring various moms on my blog starting on April 17!
- Get my Israel Flashback Feature ready to go for the next 4 Tuesdays in April.
- Make it to at least one consignment sale and find bargain clothes for the kids.
- Complete at least one thing from my 35 Things list.
-
Done. Simon did so well with weaning and I was surprised. But I’m very proud of his adjustment!

For most of the month I did well with healthier eating. I think this is a goal that is harder to measure in the end, but I’m pretty happy with how I did. I also didn’t go to Starbucks even once during April, so that counts for something too, I think!

Gabbie’s party went well and you can see pictures here!

I went to one consignment sale but all I got was a pair of pants for Zachary and a skirt for Gabbie. I haven’t had much luck lately!
-
Done – I flew a kite and I also finished my 25th book!
- Get all healed up from my surgery.
- Figure out what I’ll be doing with the kids this summer.
- Make plans for Zachary’s birthday.
- Order prints for Project Life from March and April.
- Prepare for Shavuot.
- Fix our broken coat hook rack.
- Figure out the first steps to moving Gabbie’s room downstairs (and start?).
- Do end of the year teachers’ gifts.
- Work on my next blog idea. (Hint: it has to do with spring / summer fashion).
- Complete at least one thing from my 35 Things list.
