A few of the blogs that I follow do a really cool challenge called $10 at Target. The idea is to spend $10 and only $10 buying fun items at Target. This is the 2nd month I have participated – see April’s challenge here!
Unlike last month, I did go to Target with a goal in mind. I wanted to find items for Gabbie’s birthday party which we will be hosting later this month. Her theme is flamingos and I thought Target had some flamingo items recently, but I didn’t find any. Here’s what I did find:
There are some cute party supply items in the dollar section.
Oops, I am getting distracted by Minions and stationary items!
Ooh, a flamingo themed night shirt! Not really cheap enough for the challenge though.
A random Passover wooden bead set. Um, I guess we don’t need it.
Back on track with these ice cream items – how about having a sundae bar at the party??
Here’s what I brought home:
Ice cream bowls and spoons and paper straws. The bowl sets were $3 each (2 sets = $6), the straws were $1 each (2 sets = $2), and the spoons were $3. Before tax and my Red Card savings, I spent 10.97. My total was $11.34. So, technically I failed. But I think it was close enough for the purchase of cute things we will be using!
What do you think?
