My favorite thing about Israel is just how much beauty is packed into a tiny country the size of New Jersey. I shared our adventures in the north of Israel a few weeks ago, and today I’m sharing the south. I have always loved the south of Israel, which is the desert. We traveled south to Mitzpe Ramon, one of my favorite places in the country!
After we checked out the edge of the crater, we visited the Alpaca Farm. I had been there 20 years ago, but not since, and it has definitely grown since I was last there!
Next, we went on a search for the gravesite of David Ben-Gurion, the first Prime Minister of Israel, and on our way, we ended up in the town of Midreshet Sde Boker. It wasn’t where we were headed, but we found ibex there! I love ibex and I was so happy to have found this family!
The discovery of ibex ended our lovely day in the south!
