Last week, Simon graduated Pre-K, while my older two finished 2nd and 4th grade. Next year, they will all be in the same school! Pre-K graduation (or gradulation, as Simon called it), was very cute and Simon was so proud of himself!
First, the kids put on a play. As you can see, Simon played one of Yosef’s kids.
Next, the kids sang two songs. They are seriously the cutest class ever!
Each child was called up and the rabbi read a note from their teacher. Unfortunately, she was not present because her mother is ill and she is with her right now. But she sent in what she wanted to say about each of them. Here is what she said about Simon:
”I call Simon my Sugar Pie simply because he is so delicious inside and out. It is unusual for someone so young to be able to express affection and concern for other people the way he does. Everyday he makes me, his best friend E, and his other school mates feel appreciated and wanted. Simon has the best attitude. He never complains. Simon will try anything, even if it is something that is difficult for him to do. Simon never quits. Not even when his fingers or brain get very tired. He always finishes what he starts.”
They all got cookies with their names in Hebrew on them!
I asked Simon a few questions and here are his answers:
What was your favorite part of school this year? Playing.
What did you learn? The parsha. (part of the Torah read each week)
What are you looking forward to when you go back to school? Playing there also.
What do you want to be when you grow up? Farmer.
I asked Zachary the same questions:
What was your favorite part of school this year? International Fair.
What did you learn? Fractions.
What are you looking forward to when you go back to school? The iPads.
What do you want to be when you grow up? I don’t know.
Finally, I asked Gabbie the questions too:
What was your favorite part of school this year? Going to Mahaffie Stage Coach Stop.
What did you learn? Long division.
What are you looking forward to when you go back to school? Student Council.
What do you want to be when you grow up? A teacher or a dance teacher.
Now, I need to organize their things from school and save their special memories in their boxes!
