This month I received my 13th Ipsy Glam Bag. This month’s theme was “Girl Meets Glitter.” Here is what I received:
clariSEA Sea Salt Solutions Instant Glow Powder Exfoliant – $18 for 4 oz, I received 1 oz, a $4.50 value:
This 100% natural powder exfoliant gently buffs away impurities and dead skin cells with naturally nourishing ingredients to reveal a healthy layer of vibrant skin. The natural astringent properties of rose powder and orange peel powder cleanse skin. Almond flour gently exfoliates while powderized sea salt clarifies.
25% off with code GLOW until 12/31/14.
My thoughts: This seems to be just sea salt in a jar, but I like how it feels as a scrub. You mix it with water or a cleanser and rub it into your face. I will continue to use this and may try it on my elbows or feet as well.
Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant – $21 for 1.7 oz, I received .25 oz, a $3.09 value:
The legendary, award-winning Eight Hour® Cream Skin Protectant works wonders to deeply moisturize and protect skin anytime, anyway you choose. The Skin Protectant’s versatility extends beyond moisturizing. Shape brows, smooth cuticles and nails, re-hydrate lips and protect skin against extreme conditions resulting in sunburn, windburn scrapes and minor burns. These are just some of the uses for this multi-tasking wonder.
15% off plus UNOLD sample with any $50 purchase + free shipping with code IPSY until 12/31/14.
My thoughts: I actually didn’t know what this was until I checked the site. It has a slightly weird consistency and smell which made me reluctant to try it. However, Gabbie has chapping around her lips (on her face, not on her lips themselves) and this was useful for that. It is somewhat like a petroleum jelly product.
Elizabeth Mott you’re so FINE Eyeliner in Glitterati – $17.99:
It’s not just any liquid eyeliner. With you’re so FINE’s micro-tipped brush, you can control your strokes to create dramatic, and sharp cat eyes! This brush is so control friendly that creating precise, symmetrical lines is ridiculously easy, so it’s perfect for first time liquid eyeliner users too.
50% off with code IPSYFINE until 1/10/15.
My thoughts: I like it. I have never used liquid eyeliner before and I’m used to a more smudged line, so I’ve been smudging it in after I draw it on and I like how it looks when I do that – you can definitely see the glitter!
Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Agran Oil Volume Shine Hairspray – $8.29 for 9 oz, I received 1.5 oz, a $1.38 value:
Get extra volume, shine and hold with this dual purpose hairspray; nourishing and styling in one! This argan oil, keratin and grape seed oil infused hairspray gives you strong and flexible hold plus deep nourishment, strengthening and conditioning as you style.
My thoughts: I have been wanting to try Moroccan Oil products but I wasn’t sure if they were meant for curly hair. As far as hairspray goes, this is fine and works fine, but I’m not sure it’s specifically right for my hair type.
Nicole by OPI Nail Polish in Guys & Galaxies – $6.99:
Nicole by OPI in Guys & Galaxies is an ipsy exclusive cosmic shade. Iridescent sparkles flirt with fine silver glitter! Nicole by OPI puts salon quality at your fingertips…from the colorful world of OPI.
My Thoughts: I love nail polish and I’m excited to try this color!
Once again, I pay $10 a month for these bags. I love seeing what comes my way each month! The value received this month was $33.95. My favorite item was the eyeliner, followed by the nail polish!
