On my tour of Park Place, I was invited to a painting class at Pinot’s Palette. At first, I wasn’t sure if I should attend a painting class alone, with Gabbie, with Dave, or with a friend, but I ultimately decided to invite a friend of mine to attend with me, mainly because if I had attended with someone from my family, we both would have brought home the same painting! My friend chose the painting we would learn to paint – a vintage flag.
Each place was labeled with the painter’s name. Our paint was ready for us.
First, we painted the blank canvas entirely red; then went over that with swirls of a bit of brown.
Next we added the white stripes. This part was hard because we had to measure out where we wanted the stripes and how wide they would be. After that, we added the blue square for the stars.
Painting the stars was the hardest part!
Showing off my painting. I want to go back and learn to paint all the other options!
My flag has made its home in Zachary’s room.
Have you ever attended a painting class? It was a lot of fun!
