My lovely blog friend Tamar invited me to take part in a Virtual Blog Hop. It seems that each week a group of bloggers answer these questions, and they in turn pass the hop on to the next group of bloggers. I will share the bloggers I chose at the end of the post. But first, here are the questions!
1. What am I working on?
As far as my life, I am working on preparing for Shavuot, which is a holiday occurring this week on Wednesday and Thursday. I am actually running a program on Thursday at my synagogue, so I am finishing up preparation for that, as well as our family celebration at home. I am also working on giving my kids a fun summer!
As far as my blog, I have a few reviews coming up next week and I will be working on those soon enough.
Otherwise, I’ve been writing a bit of fiction and I’m currently stalled in my story, so I am hoping to get back into it soon!
2. How does my work differ from others of its genre?
I assume this refers to my blog. I write about my kids and the things we do together, but I try to put up a good mix of reviews, posts about myself, and general lifestyle posts as well. Lately my blog read numbers have gone down, so I obviously need to work on that!
3. Why do I write/create what I do?
I share my family’s adventures because I like to share what we do, but also to keep a record for myself and for the kids. We like reading back on things we have done before!
4. How does your writing/creating process work?
I generally write a post a day, sometimes more. Sometimes I don’t feel like writing, but once I get started, I usually can finish a blog post within a half hour to an hour. When I write my fiction though, I have to write maybe a paragraph at a time! Then I go do something else and add the next paragraph when it comes to me. It’s a slow process!
Next week, I am passing the blog hop baton to the following bloggers:
Holly, a working mom obsessed with Starbucks, all things British and living sustainably, has been a good blog friend of mine for quite awhile. We have many things in common and are like-minded in a lot of our thoughts about parenting. I love her blog and I know you will too!
Dani is a mom, wife, healthcare professional, and foodie who blogs over at This Workman Life! Come stop by to check out family, food, fashion and fun! We have been blog friends for a little while and I always enjoy her informative posts.
If anyone else would like to participate, please feel free to answer these questions here in the comments or on your own blog!
