Today I have a guest post about family travel in Egypt. I’ve actually been to Egypt – but never thought of it as a family vacation location! Thanks to Kira for sending me this article.
Family holidays come in all shapes and sizes. Long ones, short ones, hot ones, winter ones… the list is endless! To keep everyone happy, many sun-seekers prefer a destination with plenty of diversity, which means that the little ones are catered for along with the grown-ups. And one place that puts a firm tick in the ‘diversity’ box is Egypt.
Family holidays to Egypt offer all sorts of exciting things to see and do. Those world-famous ancient sights are often high on the list for many visitors, but if you’ve got young children in tow, day after day spent wandering around ancient monuments and centuries-old landmarks might become a little too much. So it’s often worth staying in a more child-friendly place, like one of the Red Sea resorts, to keep the little ones happy.
Sharm el Sheikh makes a great choice for family holidays to Egypt. This buzzing resort offers gorgeous golden beaches and a well-equipped town centre, offering stacks of family restaurants, cafes and shops, along with a long list of local activities. Scuba diving is a popular pastime here, and a great activity for older kids to enjoy. There are plenty of dive centres in the area offering tuition and excursions for all levels. Or, whisk the little ones off for a boat trip, or show them how to snorkel – they’ll soon get the hang of it, and those underwater sights are simply unforgettable!
If you’ve got family holidays to Egypt on your radar, check out the range of Thomas Cook family holidays on offer and browse their various deals to find something that fits your budget. There are plenty of options available, and one of the best things about Egypt holidays is that you can visit all year round, and still expect warm days and sunshine.
How’s that for a perfect family holiday?
