October In Review

October was a busy month here on the blog, with my participating in the 31 Days Series making me double post on most days! I will be recapping my series later on today. However, here are some of the highlights of October!

Family Activities:

  • We went to the Jewish Arts Festival

November is one of my favorite months – it includes my birthday and of course Thanksgiving, plus Hanukkah is starting on November 27th this year! Happy November to all!

Wow! The pictures of the kids are actually pretty good. I have a hard time getting 3 kids in a picture. 8? That's awesome! You could photo shop them all together. LOL

It's going to be January before we know it! Once it hits October in our house, the rest of the year just flies by.

Oo! Hanukkah starts on my dad's birthday! I had no idea it started as early as November! Great recap! The photos of the kids turned out pretty cute!

You had a very busy October!
Pardon my ignorance, but what is a Hebrew birthday?

Dara said...

:) Thanks for asking! The Hebrew calendar is lunar, so 28-29 days per month. That is why you'll see holidays at different times each year, like Hanukkah is early this year. Hanukkah always starts on the 25th of the Hebrew month Kislev, so it just changes dates on our calendar, not the Jewish / Hebrew calendar. So it's the same with birthdays. When I was born, Nov. 10 fell on the 11 of Chesvan, which this year was in October!
