Zachary’s Early First Grade Work

I wanted to share some of Zachary’s recent school work, mostly because I want to remember how he wrote at the beginning of 1st grade. I hope we will see drastic improvements in his ability to spell throughout this year! Aside from the way he spells, I just think these things are cute.

On Back to School night, this representation of Zachary showed me where to sit.

Filling in the letters.

Favorites: Color = blue. Food = pizza. Animal = Zebra. Sport = ? Game = Sorry.

A lovely drawing of himself.

Summer fun: Disney World, pool, beach, birthday, and TV.

This project came home today. The kids learned how they fit into the greater environment.

Finally, a sentence. On the bottom is Zachary’s spelling, above is the translation.

I am starting to do this for both my girls as they bring stuff home from school, too. I downloaded the app Artchive and need to look into how I can use it now.

As a grandmother, I can tell you these are sweet remembrances. Amazing that there are apps to help manage the paper. Visiting from SSS.

Now I have to look into the app Janine mentioned. Love the idea of documenting Zachary's work. I bet you see a huge difference by the end of the year.

He plays Sorry? That was my old favorite. I can't bear to throw anything. I will have to download an Archive app.

oh my gosh, sweet, I love looking back at the work my kiddos did when they were little. You were smart to blog it too, now you can go back and see it whenever you want!

Thank you for linking to Super Sunday Sync.

I love how you document their schoolwork. I heart to do that with Violet. It's a great way to look at their progress.
