Back at the beginning of school I wrote about some of the things I was nervous about, and I realized those things would all be fine once we got into a routine. I would say we have the routine down now, only with the holidays this month things aren’t quite normal! This week and next week, Simon is off on Wednesdays, while the bigger kids have half days, and the holidays are Thursday, Friday, and Saturday both weeks. Aside for that, the routine that helps me the most is that when the bigger kids get home, they do their homework while I prepare their lunches for the next day. This way I get that done while I’m there with them if they need help on their homework. Yesterday, I didn’t have to make lunches, since the kids will be home for lunch today, so instead I used the time to prepare dinner.
Thanks to Pillsbury, I was able to try out some easy back-to-school dinner ideas! I tried both the Grands! Mini Pizzas and the Grands! Grilled Cheese Sandwiches recipes. (Please note: these recipes call for refrigerated biscuits, which are not kosher. I used the frozen biscuits instead, which are kosher. I just defrosted them a bit in the microwave before following the recipes).
Arranging the Grands! for pizzas.
Here are the Grands! flattened out.
Grands! in a skillet for grilled cheese.
Added cheese, topped with another Grand!
Zachary wondering what type of grilled cheese he is eating.
We all enjoyed these easy-to-make and yummy-to-eat foods! You can download the Pillsbury recipe booklet and then let me know the Pillsbury Grands! Biscuits recipe you are most excited to try!
