I am very seriously going to cry, because today is the last day of Camp Gan Israel. Like I mentioned at the end of the first week, my kids seriously love camp and so do I! There are four more weeks until school begins on August 19. So I’ve been working on planning “Mommy Camp” in hopes of keeping all 3 kids occupied for the next four weeks. I even wrote out a whole schedule on a calendar just like they do at Camp Gan Israel! We’re going to go on trips twice a week, go swimming and do projects twice a week, and hopefully do some fun activities on Fridays while also preparing for Simon’s big birthday party on August 11th. Here are some of the ideas I’ve included:
Trips:
- Mini Golf
- Johnson County Museum
- Powell Gardens
- Curious George at Crown Center
- Franklin Park
- Johnson County Fair
- Aviation Museum
- Mahaffie Farm
Crafts:
- Camp Shirts and Signs

- Fairy Houses
- Crayon Art
- Sock Elephants
- Shoebox Houses
- Paint Project
- Apple Craft

- Swimming 2x per week (locations: our regular pool, the lake beach, Black Bob Bay, Frontier Pool?)
- Backyard Safari
- Scavenger Hunt
- Lemonade Stand
- Color Hunt
- Preparing for Simon’s Party
- School Drop-in Day
Supplies Needed:
- T-Shirts
- Small Cardboard Boxes

- Resin Flowers and Rocks
- Paper Plates
- Large Box of Crayons
- Canvases
- Socks
- Polyfill
- Rubberbands

If anyone local wants to join us, please let me know. The more adult interaction I can get, the better. Also, wish me luck.
