Today is the last day of school! (Well, Simon is going tomorrow for his last day, but the big kids finish today). It really feels like yesterday that I was posting about their first day of school!
Last week, at the International Fair, Gabbie’s class received their end of the year awards.
Hard Worker Award – Great Work Ethic
Participation in the National Handwriting Contest
Participation in the Talent Show (she did her ballet dance)
I asked Gabbie a few questions.
-
What was your favorite part of 2nd grade? “International Fair.”
-
What did you learn this year? “Lech L’cha.”
-
What are you looking forward to in 3rd grade? “That Native American unit.”
-
What do you want to be when you grow up? “A Ballerina.”
Yesterday, Zachary’s class had their end of the year program. First, we went to the class where Zachary has morning prayers. The kids learn the meaning of the Hebrew prayers as well as how to follow along in their Hebrew prayer books.
Next the class put on a short play in Hebrew.
Then the parents joined the rest of the kindergarten class. They sang a song with the music teacher.
Then each child spoke and shared their favorite thing about kindergarten.
The projection behind Zachary shows what he wrote and read: “I like to learn math. 4 + 4 = 8.”
All of the kids were called by name and presented with their graduation certificate, plus their other awards.
Zachary with his awesome teachers!
Here are his certificates:
Outstanding year in Kindergarten
I asked Zachary a few questions:

-
What do you want to be when you grow up? “I don’t know.”
