Let’s Go Fly a Kite

One of the items on my 35 Things to Do This Year list is “Fly a Kite.” I kind of threw it in there, thinking it would be fun and hoping I’d actually get to do it. When I found out the Overland Park Arboretum was having “KiteFest” every Sunday in April, I knew it was my opportunity! So this past Sunday we headed out with our kites. The kids really got into it and had a great time!

And guess what? I flew a kite! It didn’t get very high, but it was still fun.

Also, there was a photographer from the newspaper there. She took photos of all 3 kids, but only Gabbie appeared on the website and in today’s paper! Here are the pictures:

Flown any kites lately?

This looks like so much fun -- and that's an awesome kite. Perfect timing on the newspaper lady, too! The pictures are way cute. We saw someone flying a kite a few days ago while at a park and Ethan was captivated. I should probably get one to fly with him!

Reagan got a kite for Christmas and she has been absolutely loving the windy days.
As soon as she sees wind she asks if we can go fly her ladybug!!

Looks like a great day! I love all the fun pictures. Way to go at flying your own kite! I can't ever seem to get them very high either. My husband can do all kinds of tricks and such. Oh well...right?!
Thanks so much for linking up at the Real Family Fun link party! Hope to see you next week.
