If you read my post on Monday with my packing lists, you may have picked up on the fact that we took a Thanksgiving trip. (Or if you’re a stalker like Leslie, you might have realized from my instagram pictures. Just kidding about Leslie being a stalker). We got up super early on Thanksgiving morning and flew to New Jersey by way of Charlotte, NC to visit our families. Other than this small incident, the flights went smoothly!
(Quoted from Facebook) I walked into a family bathroom at the airport w Zachary and a lady followed us in. I told her it was a one room bathroom but she headed for the toilet anyway! So much for waiting your turn!
We arrived in New Jersey just on time for Thanksgiving lunch / dinner / linner (?) at my parents’ house!
After eating, the kids headed downstairs to visit with their favorite toys in my parents’ basement. Some of them were my favorites from when I lived there too!
I took the opportunity to take a picture of my childhood room. My parents’ house is for sale, so this may be the last time I see it. Trust me, when I lived there it was not this neat!
After play time (and dessert), we headed to Dave’s parents’ house for our next stop. Even though we did not eat Thanksgiving dinner with them, we got to see 5 of our nieces and nephews plus Dave’s two first cousins and their kids. It makes me happy that my kids get to play with their cousins!
After everyone left, we all went to bed. I was exhausted from being up so early in the morning, but I could not fall asleep! Thus began my long, tired weekend. I will share more about it very soon!
