I have seriously set aside my knitting lately to concentrate on a variety of other crafts and home projects. However, I still consider knitting to be my number 1 hobby! While we were on our road trip I worked on a new scarf and I finished it up last night.
The pattern I used is called 22.5 Degrees by Martina Behm and it can be found on Ravelry (the best knitting community there is!). The yarn I used is Sockenwolle 80/20 Twin by Wollmeise. This amazing sock yarn has the most beautiful colors. For a long time I was very much into buying and trading this yarn until I secured the colors I wished for – this color included. It is called “Regenbogen,” which means Rainbow! Apparently I saved this yarn for 3 years before I used it!
The pattern was simple back and forth garter stitch with increases every row at the ends and every 3rd row at the middle. At the end, the edging is scallops. While I was knitting the scallops, I was thinking how nice they looked.
Then I flipped over the knitting and saw the front! Wow!
This is how it is worn:
